Building free, world-class education for every learner.
I'm an educator and self-taught full-stack developer who turned 13+ years of classroom and content experience into free, ad-free learning platforms used by students around the world. I founded a Delhi non-profit in 2012, then designed, coded and shipped an entire EdTech ecosystem — solo, building fast with an AI-first workflow: Claude, ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Mistral and AI agents.
Accomplished educator and non-profit founder with over a decade of experience teaching mathematics to underprivileged students, paired with a rare, hands-on command of modern full-stack engineering. I founded the Udgam Welfare Foundation (2012), a Delhi-based NGO providing free coaching, digital learning, food, accommodation and travel support to students who cannot afford private tuition. Most recently I conceived, architected and single-handedly built Vidaara.org — a free, full-stack e-learning portal (Node.js, Express, MySQL) that renders LaTeX/KaTeX mathematics at textbook quality and delivers K–12, JEE/NEET, SAT/CAT/SSC, language-learning and mock-test resources to learners worldwide. Around it I built Ganak (a step-by-step mathematics engine), Ankora (a math game for children) and companion Flutter apps. I also partner with other non-profits — including The Lepra India Trust, Delhi — to bring inclusive, bilingual e-learning to 40+ hearing-impaired students. I build with an AI-first workflow — using Claude, ChatGPT, DeepSeek and Mistral AI, and integrating AI agents — to design, code, debug and ship production software far faster than a traditional solo developer could. I am dedicated to expanding access to inclusive, equitable, genuinely good education.

Why I left my job
In 2012 I walked away from a stable corporate career to give underprivileged children the engineering dreams I could never chase myself — dreams I lost to a lack of money and guidance, not a lack of ability. I decided that no child should be stopped by the same walls that once stopped me. That single conviction became the Udgam Welfare Foundation — and everything I have built since, from free coaching and LaTeX e-books to Vidaara.org, exists for one reason: so that a student's future is decided by their effort, never by their bank balance.
Selected work
An EdTech ecosystem, built solo.
Five products and two platforms — from a full e-learning portal to a symbolic maths engine and a game that turns arithmetic into an adventure. I design, code, deploy and maintain all of it.
Vidaara
Live
Flagship · E-learning portal
A free, ad-free e-learning portal for Class 1–12 and competitive exams (SAT, CAT, SSC CGL, CTET, JEE, NEET, IMO). Thousands of MCQs, full mock tests, interactive labs, an AI study tutor, a Q&A forum and language learning — all rendered with textbook-quality KaTeX maths.
What we built on Vidaara:
66,000+ practice questions and full-length mock tests spanning Class 1–12 and every major exam (SAT, CAT, SSC CGL, CTET, JEE, NEET, IMO) — each with a detailed, step-by-step solution.
A native, dependency-free graphing and scientific calculator built from scratch (Desmos-style) — no third-party libraries, fully CSP-safe.
Paste-a-question homework helper: type any textbook question and instantly get its worked solution via full-text search over an in-house solution bank.
Interactive Virtual Labs — PhET-style Physics, Chemistry and Biology simulations (projectile motion, circuits, genetics, ecosystems) on zero-dependency HTML canvas.
In-browser coding courses that run real Python (Skulpt), SQL (sql.js) and R (WebR) live in the browser, plus an HTML/CSS playground, for Computer Science Grades 5–12.
Textbook-quality mathematics everywhere via KaTeX, with hundreds of hand-authored inline-SVG diagrams for geometry and science.
An AI Study Tutor using retrieval with a human-in-the-loop (no costly live-LLM calls) and a community Q&A forum with structured, math-aware answers.
Bilingual (English + हिंदी) accessibility: a hover-glossary for difficult words, text-to-speech, WCAG-AA contrast, full dark mode and mobile-first responsive design.
Installable Progressive Web App with offline support, backed by a read-only public Content API that also powers the companion Flutter mobile apps.
Enterprise-grade engineering — Helmet CSP, rate limiting, self-hosted CAPTCHA, MySQL-backed sessions, world-class SEO (dynamic sitemaps, JSON-LD, IndexNow) and a live donor/CSR impact dashboard — all built solo, free and ad-free.
A paid AI-plus-expert homework service: a student submits any assignment, an AI drafts a fully worked solution, a subject-matter expert reviews and refines it, and the AI then incorporates the expert's feedback before final human approval — pairing AI speed with human-verified accuracy. Backed by a private in-house bank of 12,000+ NCERT and OpenStax questions with step-by-step solutions (Maths, Science and English, Grades 5–12, India CBSE + US curriculum).
How HWA works:
A guided submission wizard where a student uploads any assignment — typed, pasted or photographed — and picks the subject, grade and deadline in a few taps.
A three-stage accuracy pipeline: AI drafts a fully worked solution, a human subject-matter expert reviews and corrects it, then the AI folds in the expert’s feedback before a final human sign-off — speed with verified correctness.
A private, key-gated question-and-solution bank of 12,000+ NCERT and OpenStax problems (Maths, Science and English, Grades 5–12) that grounds every answer in curriculum-accurate, step-by-step working.
Both India CBSE/NCERT and US (OpenStax) curricula supported, so the same platform serves students across two school systems.
Built-in UPI payments with a generated QR code and admin-side verification, so orders are confirmed and tracked end to end.
Automatic PDF delivery — each finished solution is rendered as a clean, downloadable worked-solution document with an itemised invoice.
Real-time order tracking over Socket.IO, so a student sees their homework move from “drafting” to “expert review” to “ready” live.
An admin console to triage incoming work, assign experts, verify payments and release approved solutions — the full operational back office.
A complete learning-management system (SaaS) for teachers, students, parents and admins — course builder, homework and assignment workflows, an auto-graded quiz engine, live online classes (video), per-child parent progress reports and admin approvals. It lets any school or private tutor run their entire classroom digitally on Vidaara’s infrastructure.
Inside the classroom:
Four dedicated roles — teacher, student, parent and admin — each with its own portal, permissions and dashboard.
A visual course builder where teachers assemble chapters, topics and lessons, pulling ready-made structure straight from Vidaara’s Class 1–12 curriculum.
Homework and assignment workflows with file uploads, virus-scanning of submissions, teacher grading and automatic completion tracking.
An auto-graded quiz engine — teachers author question banks once and the system marks attempts and records results instantly.
Live online classes with in-browser video plus a real-time collaborative whiteboard and class chat, so lessons happen without any external tool.
Printable per-child parent progress reports, so families can follow marks, attendance and completion at a glance.
A teacher-verification pipeline: document (KYC) upload, virus scanning, admin review and approval before an account can teach — with automated email at each step.
Enterprise-grade foundations — MySQL-backed sessions, a dependency-free SMTP mailer, self-service password reset and per-course student enrolment by email.
A mathematics engine that solves K-12, SAT, JEE, CAT, GRE and Olympiad problems step by step — a deterministic, rule-based symbolic solver built on a structured knowledge base of formulas, identities and theorems. It powers the maths across Vidaara.
A math RPG for children (Grades 3–8) where maths is the weapon — solve a sum, cast the spell, beat the monster. Designed to make daily practice feel like play. Playable on the web now; an Android build is on the way.
A project-based game-development course for Grades 5–10 where every lesson ends in a game you can play — 15 levels running from digital and programming foundations through game maths, design, Phaser and publishing, with an AI co-pilot that grows from tutor to pair-programmer as the learner does. Its heart is the Game Lab: an in-browser code editor with live preview that runs student code inside a sandboxed iframe, so a game is written and played in seconds.
The full Vidaara learning portal in your pocket — study material, mock tests and practice for Class 1–12 and competitive exams, served by a read-only public Content API. Available now on Google Play.
Original mathematics content for K-12 and competitive exams since 2011 — notes, worksheets, practice papers and e-books, authored in LaTeX since 2014 and published independently.
The Delhi non-profit I founded in 2012 — free coaching, digital learning, books, food, metro passes and even accommodation for underprivileged students chasing engineering and academic dreams.
Working on Linux since 2012 — my daily development and deployment environment for over a decade, from local builds to production servers, shell tooling and CI.
Authoring in LaTeX since 2014 — more than a decade of typesetting mathematics to publication standard: e-books, worksheets, solution manuals and complete curricula, which is also what taught me to render maths properly on the web with KaTeX.
Built udgamwelfarefoundation.com by hand in HTML in 2016 — my first website, written from scratch to give the foundation a presence online.
Migrated it to WordPress in 2018 to add richer features and let non-technical volunteers publish.
From 2021 adopted an AI-first workflow — using AI for content generation, code and continuous upgrades — which is what made a full rewrite feasible for one person.
Rebuilt the whole platform on Node.js and shipped it as vidaara.org: a modern, international-standard web application with server-side rendering, REST APIs, PWA support, security hardening and companion mobile apps.
Independently conceived, designed, built and deployed a free, full-stack e-learning portal on Node.js, Express, EJS (SSR) and MySQL; deployed on Hostinger with Cloudflare DNS and HTTPS.
Authored all STEM content in LaTeX and rendered it with KaTeX across thousands of pages — including a complete 21-chapter NEET Physics course, JEE tracks, and SAT/CAT/SSC/CTET exam prep.
Built an auto-scoring mock-test engine, an AI tutor, a moderated Q&A forum, interactive labs, a learner dashboard (progress, certificates, badges) and a multi-language module (CEFR A2–B2) with a 1,300+ word bilingual vocabulary bank.
Engineered SEO end-to-end: dynamic sitemap (4,000+ URLs), JSON-LD structured data, Open Graph cards, full server-side rendering — verified in Google Search Console.
Hardened the app with Helmet CSP, rate limiting, MySQL-backed sessions and server-side validation; added PWA (offline + installable), text-to-speech and a mobile-first responsive design.
Built companion Flutter apps (Ankora, Words of Vidaara, the Vidaara app) served by a read-only public Content API.
Built Kridora (kridora.vidaara.org) — a 15-level, AI-assisted game-development course for Grades 5–10 whose in-browser Game Lab (CodeMirror editor, Canvas & Phaser) runs student code safely inside a sandboxed iframe, so every lesson ends in a playable game.
